1. Introduction
This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations of courses, programs, and services offered by WAE Academy ("we," "our," or "us"). By enrolling in our courses or using our services, you agree to be bound by this Refund Policy.
We are committed to providing high-quality educational services and ensuring your satisfaction. However, we understand that circumstances may arise that require you to request a refund or cancellation.
2. Definitions
- Course Fee: The amount paid for enrollment in a specific course or program.
- Registration Fee: A non-refundable fee that covers administrative costs associated with enrollment.
- Cooling-off Period: The period during which you may cancel your enrollment and receive a full refund (minus the registration fee).
- Course Start Date: The date on which the course or program officially begins.
3. Cooling-off Period
You have a cooling-off period of 7 calendar days from the date of enrollment to cancel your course and receive a full refund of the course fee, minus the registration fee. To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing within the cooling-off period.
The cooling-off period does not apply if:
- You have already accessed a significant portion of the course materials.
- The course start date is within 7 days of your enrollment date, and this was clearly communicated to you at the time of enrollment.
- The course or service is customized specifically for you.
4. Refund Eligibility
4.1 Full Refunds (minus Registration Fee)
You may be eligible for a full refund of your course fee (minus the registration fee) under the following circumstances:
- You cancel within the cooling-off period as described in Section 3.
- We cancel the course before the start date.
- We make significant changes to the course content, structure, or delivery method that substantially alter the nature of the course, and you do not wish to continue.
4.2 Partial Refunds
You may be eligible for a partial refund under the following circumstances:
- You cancel after the cooling-off period but before the course start date: 70% of the course fee.
- You cancel within the first week of the course start date: 50% of the course fee.
- You cancel within the second week of the course start date: 30% of the course fee.
4.3 No Refunds
No refunds will be provided under the following circumstances:
- You cancel after the second week of the course start date.
- You are removed from the course due to violation of our code of conduct or terms of service.
- You have completed more than 25% of the course content.
- For any add-on services, materials, or resources that have already been provided or accessed.
5. Special Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise that prevent you from continuing your course. In cases of serious illness, bereavement, or other extenuating circumstances, we may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation may be required.
6. Installment Plans
If you are enrolled in a course with an installment payment plan:
- Refunds will be calculated based on the total course fee, not just the amount paid to date.
- If the calculated refund amount is less than what you have already paid, you will receive the difference.
- If the calculated refund amount is more than what you have already paid, you will not be required to make additional payments, but no refund will be issued.
- If you cancel your enrollment, you remain obligated to pay any outstanding installments unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Course Transfers
Instead of a refund, you may request to transfer to another course or defer your enrollment to a later date, subject to the following conditions:
- The request must be made at least 14 days before the original course start date.
- You may transfer your enrollment only once.
- If the new course has a higher fee, you must pay the difference.
- If the new course has a lower fee, you will receive a credit for future courses or services.
- A transfer fee of ₹2,000 may apply.
8. Refund Process
To request a refund, you must:
- Submit a written request to contactweareengineer.com with the subject line "Refund Request - [Your Name]."
- Include your full name, contact information, course details, and reason for the refund request.
- Provide any supporting documentation if applicable.
We will acknowledge receipt of your refund request within 3 business days and process eligible refunds within 14 business days. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.
9. Scholarships and Discounts
If you received a scholarship, discount, or promotional offer:
- Refunds will be calculated based on the amount you actually paid, not the original course fee.
- Scholarships and discounts are non-transferable and have no cash value.
10. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. The revised policy will apply only to enrollments made after the effective date of the revised policy.
